Book Swap Information

Does your child have a pile of paperback books sitting in their room that they have already read? Do you wish you had the opportunity to exchange them for more exciting reading material before summer?

The Book Swap is for you!

How it works:
From May 26 to May 28 students may bring in any “gently used” paperback books to the library media center for donation. We will track the number of picture books, chapter books, and non-fiction books brought in by each student. The maximum number of books a student may bring in is 5. We will not be able to accept books after 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 28.

From June 1 to June 5 students will come to the library-media center and select any “gently used” books of their choice based on the number of books they donated. Students must select the same type of book that they donated. For example, if you donate 3 picture books, the student will leave with 3 picture books. This ensures that everyone is exchanging in a fair manner.

Book Criteria:
Please make choices carefully before donating books. Books will only be accepted under the following guidelines:
 Books must be paperback and appropriate for grades pre-k through grade 2
 Books must be in gently used condition: cover on, no rips, tears or bent edges
 Books with coloring or writing in them will not be accepted
 Coloring books, activity books, and sticker books will not be accepted
 Books from kids’ meals will not be accepted (Chik-fil-a, McDonalds, etc.)
Please note that the selection of books available will be based on books donated. We cannot ensure specific titles.
